Ski & snowboard

"Insanely big" -  With 284 kilometers of slopes, 90 ski lifts and cable cars as well as over 80 huts and restaurants, the ski area in the Kitzbühel Alps is one of the largest and most family-friendly anywhere. After all, children up to the age of 15 ski for free free in the low season when accompanied by a parent. In addition, you can expect a real highlight: "Night skiing" in Söll Wednesdays to Saturdays at the Hochsöll, Hexen6er and Hans im Glück lifts on a total of 11 kilometers of floodlit slopes down to the valley.

Winter hiking

Winter hikes in our region are a special pleasure. In the snowy season you can enjoy wonderful moments of tranquility in nature. Fairytale-like snow-covered forests, clear winter air and a wide view of the Tyrolean mountains!

 

 

Tobogganing

Everyone from the little ones to the grandparents takes part: Tobogganing is a great pleasure for everyone who is looking for a change from the ski slope.

 

Also here you have the pleasure of experiencing a toboggan ride at night in Söll. The illuminated "moon toboggan run" can be easily reached with the Hochsöll gondola lift and, at 4km,it is also the longest toboggan run in the Wilder Kaiser region.

Cross-country skiing

Our region offers you over 65 kilometers of well-groomed trails.

 

Beginners and experts can run their laps on the sunny side between the four Kaiser towns of Ellmau, Going, Scheffau and Söll.

There is a special cross-country treat in Scheffau: an illuminated trail at night.

Après ski

In the Wilder Kaiser holiday region you can enjoy the perfectly groomed slopes of the SkiWelt Wilder Kaiser - Brixental during the day.

 

After skiing, you can stop off at one of the great mountain and ski huts. There you will not only be spoiled with regional delicacies, you can also enjoy a glass or two.

 

When the mountain railways close, the day of skiing is not over. Après ski bars and pubs await your visit in the valley.

Ski bus on the doorstep

The ski buses run daily between the various districts and the Söll mountain railway in winter and are free for you with a valid lift ticket.

Our "Hotel Gänsleit" bus stop is right in front of the hotel's main entrance door. This brings you comfortably to the Söll valley station in about 2 minutes.
